#33 Says "Best” Stand Ever!

                      MATRIX CONCEPTS LS-ONE LIFT STAND

I was fortunate enough to acquire a new lift stand from MX43.com that was supplied by MATRIX CONCEPTS.  It was my first exposure to this stand.

I can’t believe my Good Fortune!!!  It is a beautiful Orange color that looks fantastic under my 2021 KTM 500 xcf-w.  It appears to be a very nice paint or possibly powder coated. It came completely assembled, so no chasing parts, missing parts or trying to figure out the instructions to put it together.  Which by the way is not my strong suit, following directions on assembly.  I hear some of you laughing out there! Don’t get too big for your britches, I have seen some of you guys work on your own bikes!

So it was as simple as opening the box, just like Christmas, and using it straight away. Awesome.

The first thing I noticed is that it seemed to be built very sturdy. Enough weight to get the job done without being overbuilt, or too heavy and cumbersome. Easy enough to handle with one hand while I held the bike with the other hand. I slid it under my bike with no issues of catching on anything. Then to my surprise when I stepped on the lever to lift the bike it went up with about half the pressure of my previous lift stand. I was instantly impressed.  A very smooth lift I might add. Wow!  I was so impressed I thought I may be able to do this lift with my hand! So of course the next thing I did was put the bike up on my work stand in the Garage Mahal and slide the MATRIX stand under the big KTM. I was a bit apprehensive, but when I pushed the foot lever with my hand the bike went up without any problem whatsoever. I was so amazed I took it down and did it again because that just seemed too easy, like I had done something wrong. I had to make sure it was all the way up and locked into place! It was, No Problem.

I had to step back and make sure I had done everything correctly; it was almost too easy. Nothing like the myriad of different stands I have been using at home, at the track and out trail riding. I have several, from other manufacturers to home made from friends that built some nice stuff for me.

Taking the bike off the stand was as easy as putting it up. Hook your toe under the lift arm which by the way has serrations to grip and give a slight upward movement and down the bike comes. Perfect.

Then as I reach down to remove the stand from under the bike I easily find the built in relief slots for my fingers to naturally grab and remove the stand. No sharp edges or protruding points to foul my hand hold. Just a nice clean spot for my hand to remove the stand easily and efficiently. I am now thoroughly impressed and believe I have found my new favorite stand.

Now I gotta start working on a BLUE one for the YZ 450f next to my KTM.  The Yamaha sure looks sad sitting there on that old broke down lift stand.
