Twas the Night Before Christmas (Motocross Edition)

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the store

Customers were mingling on the sales floor.

The shelves were stocked throughout with care,

Filled with handlebars and helmets and 2014 FLY racewear.

At home the children nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of riding gear dance in their heads.

Here in my FLY Racing hoody and Flexfit cap,

I opened my iPad to watch Trey Canard do a fender slap.

When out on the practice track there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my chair to investigate all the chatter.

The moon on the peaks of jumps all covered in snow

Gave off the luster of a Supercross opening ceremonies show.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a 2-stroke sleigh with handlebars minus the reindeer.

With a fast little rider, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be Motocross St. Nick.

As I set down my iPad, and was turning around,

Down the chimney came Moto Saint Nick with a bound.

He was dressed in Evolution race wear, from head to foot,

And his helmet was dirty from crashes and soot.

A bundle of gear and parts he had flung on his back,

He looked like my WPS sales rep, when opening his pack.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to work,

Stocked up my race shop and washed air filters as a perk.

He sprang to his sleigh, downed a Red Bull, said “let’s go!,"

Away he flew more parts and accessories to bestow.

I heard him exclaim as he rode out of sight,

"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-moto-night!"
